Speaking at the meeting, Deputy PM Binh emphasised that the group’s first meeting took place in the context that the COVID-19 epidemic is witnessing many complicated developments, negatively affecting many aspects of peoples’ social lives, while many businesses have had to suspend production and business, even facing the risk of dissolution and bankruptcy.
The Government and the Prime Minister have been directing the drastic implementation of many solutions to control the epidemic and protect people's health, while at the same time removing difficulties caused by impacts of the epidemic, he added.
In order to organise and carry out key and urgent tasks, the Deputy PM suggested that members of the Working Group closely follow the plan to review legal documents, laws on sectors approved by the Prime Minister; with a focus on exchanging and discussing the scope and content of the review of legal documents related to economic sectors that may cause barriers to the investment environment, activities of businesses and people’s lives.
He also directed the Ministry of Justice and the Working Group to review legislative documents to urgently review specific laws and regulations that may cause problems in production and business activities in order to promptly cope with and minimize the impact of COVID-19 epidemic on the economy.
