Deputy PM presents Tet gifts to policy beneficiaries, ethnic people

VTV.vn - Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh, together with sponsors and the authorities of the Southern province of Long An, visited and presented gifts to policy beneficiary families and needy households in the province’s Can Giuoc district on January 26, on the occasion of the approaching Lunar New Year.

The government official also granted 30 bicycles to needy students, presented two social houses and 10 set of computers to policy beneficiaries in the district.

On the same day, Deputy PM Binh presented 357 Tet gifts and 100 scholarships to needy students and local ethnic Cham and Khmer people living in Ho Chi Minh City.

He expressed his pressure at seeing the improved living standards of the ethnic minority groups in Ho Chi Minh City. He asked the local authorities to provide timely support for the local ethnic minority groups, particularly during the upcoming Tet holidays.

On the occasion, he conveyed his best Tet wishes to the local people and expressed his hope that they would welcome a happy Lunar New Year.
