Deputy PM asks for improvement in healthcare services
VTV.vn - At a working session with the health sector, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam requested that the health industry promote transparency in order to avoid losses in the procurement of medical equipment for public hospitals.

In addition to improving the quality of medical examination and treatment and prevent hospital overloading, the Deputy Prime Minister noted that hospitals should implement measures such as scheduled examinations to reduce waiting time at hospitals as well as promote links between hospitals.

According to this year's plan, the Ministry of Health aims to exceed the targets of the National Assembly and the Prime Minister, who've requested the ministry provide 27 hospital beds per 10,000 people, and reach health insurance coverage of 88.1%.
