Cuba pushes back on new U.S restrictions

The law allows American citizens to sue companies and subsidiaries in Cuba that benefited from private properties that were confiscated by the Cuban government in the 1959 revolution. Cuba has immediately voiced its opposition to this move by the US. Cuban Foreign Minister Rodriguez affirmed that Cuba will always vow to protect the country's interests. Several longstanding US allies who have significant business stakes in Cuba, have protested the US's move, worrying it will negatively impact foreign investment in Cuba.
