COVID-19: Vietnam confirms six more imported cases, total reaches 2,626

VTV.vn - Vietnam documented an additional six imported cases, all Vietnamese citizens, bringing the national infection tally to 2,626, including 1,603 domestically-transmitted cases, the Ministry of Health reported on April 3.

As many as 2,383 patients have made a full recovery from the disease, while the number of related fatalities remains at 35. Among those who are still receiving treatment, 81 have since tested negative for COVID-19 at least once, while more than 27,470 people who came into close contact with confirmed cases or who entered the country from pandemic-hit areas being placed into quarantine for medical observation nationwide.

According to figures released by the National Expanded Immunization Programme, more than 52,000 people nation have been vaccinated against COVID-19.

The same day the Border Guard Command of the Mekong Delta province of Dong Thap, in collaboration with Military Hospital 120, offered COVID-19 vaccinations for all of its officers and soldiers.

This effort will see 351 border guard officers and soldiers injected between now and April 6, with their health set to be monitored via e-records in accordance with the Health Ministry’s regulations.

In order live safely with the pandemic, the Ministry has advised people to remain proactive in maintaining pandemic prevention efforts by continuing to wear face masks when going out, disinfecting frequently, maintaining a safe distance from others, refraining from attending mass gatherings, and making medical declarations.
