Columbia strengthens co-operative ties
VTV.vn - Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh is paying an official visit to Colombia from July 13-16.

At Thursday’s meeting with Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos, the two leaders agreed bilateral relations have steadily progressed in all sectors. Colombian President Manuel Santos reaffirmed that Vietnam is an important partner of the country in South East Asia.

Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh congratulated Colombia on the recent ceasefire agreement which permanently put an end to the domestic conflict over the last 50 years. Vietnam is willing to support Colombia in dealing with the aftermath of the war and national reconciliation process. 

On Thursday Vice President Thinh and Colombian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maria Angela Holguin witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on co-operation in agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and seafood and a cultural co-operation program in 2017-2019. The same day Ms. Thinh and her entourage visited the Colombian Senate./.
