The temperatures last night were reduced by 1 degree Celsius, and were recored at 10 to 12 degrees in lowland areas, and 5 to 8 degrees in mountainous areas.
In high points such as Sapa, Mẫu Sơn, and Pha Đin, temperatures fell between minus 0.8 and minus 1 degree.
Due to thick clouds, temperatures in Hanoi at 10am rose by just under 0.5 degree from early morning, and will be at its peak at 15 degrees at noon.
The fierce cold spell in the Northern region is expected to last until February 7th.
