During his on-going working visit to Vietnam, the First Vice President of Cambodia's Senate Ney Pena held talks with Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan and Standing Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Tong Thi Phong on August 9th in Hanoi.
During the talks, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc urged that the two countries continue to promote economic, trade and investment co-operative ties in order to bring trade turnover between Cambodia and Vietnam to 5 billion USD.
The Prime Minister hoped the two countries would finish the border landmark plantation soon. He also asked the first vice president of the Cambodian senate to support Vietnamese community in Cambodia.
Senate First Vice President Pena used the occasion to thank the Communist Party of Vietnam, state and people of Vietnam for their support for Cambodia during the country's difficulties as well today. The guest stressed Cambodia's determination to preserve relations, regarding them as a valuable asset for both nations.
