Chinese Embassy delegation visits Bac Giang Province

VTV.vn - A delegation of the Chinese Embassy to Vietnam, led by Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Xiong Bo, had a working visit in Bac Giang Province on April 3.

Receiving the delegation, Duong Van Thai, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Bac Giang Province expressed his pleasure to welcome Ambassador Xiong Ba and the delegation from the Chinese Embassy to Vietnam.

For many years, the cooperation between Bac Giang Province and Chinese partners has been achieving high results.

China is the second country in terms of the number of investment projects in the province (after the Republic of Korea)and ranks first in terms of total registered capital among 27 countries and territories investing in Bac Giang.

The total registered capital of Chinese enterprises in Bac Giang is about 3.4 billion USD (equivalent to nearly 50% of total registered capital from foreign investment in the province).

China is identified as an important and traditional market, accounting for a major proportion in the export structure of industrial products, agricultural products and lychee of the province.

Total import and export turnover between Bac Giang and the Chinese market in 2022 is projected to reach 15.3 billion USD; the first quarter of 2023 recorded 3.3 billion USD.

Duong Van Thai suggested that Ambassador Xiong Bo continue to pay attention and support Bac Giang Province to consume lychee and agricultural products of Bac Giang Province into the Chinese market via the international railway.

The Secretary of the Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee also asked the Chinese side to support information on China's market economy, laws, and business practices for domestic and local businesses; expand the export and import markets of goods and services into China; and minimise restrictions on technical barriers for local agricultural products and foodstuffs when exporting.

In the afternoon, the delegation visited JA Solar Co., Ltd., at Quang Chau Industrial Park, Viet Yen District, Bac Giang Province.
