China further tightens air pollution target

He said that China's air quality has improved significantly over the past five years. China's efforts to control air pollution have also promoted structural optimization in key areas, as well as the establishment of a new effective mechanism of air pollution control.

China is looking to set tougher goals in a new three-year "green" plan to improve air quality and tighten regulations, with a focus on reducing PM2.5 concentrations  in the air.
