Exports to the EU are falling sharply and exports to the US have been experiencing difficulties due to the tra fish inspection program as well as high anti-dumping duties. Meanwhile, exports to China have increased by 42%.
However, tra fish exports to China face a number of potential problems due to irregular quality control. Moreover, the different export prices in sea and road transportation methods may lead to unfair competition and destabilization of raw material.
