This event was hosted by international schools and organisations in Hanoi on Saturday. It offered free entry for all the kids to enjoy.
This year’s “New Year celebration worldwide” event has many exciting activities. One of them is face painting. The art is very popular in many countries and one of the children's favourite activities at this year’s event.
In addition to face painting, all the kids get the chance to experience paper crafting and decorating peach blossom trees - one of the symbolic trees of Vietnam’s traditional New Year.
At the event, children can also participate in traditional Mexican games and watch martial arts, as well as musical performances from Korea. This event was organised with the help of Vietnamese and foreign volunteers.
This is the first time this event has been held in Vietnam and it has attracted around 200 people, including children and their parents. Organisers hope to make this annual event for children to learn more about the new year customs of different lands around the world.
