Che Guevara exhibition in Hanoi

In Vietnam, he has once again inspired a photo exhibition organised by Vietnam News Agency and the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Association.

The exhibition, entitled Che – Constructor, aims to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of Guevarra’s death by paying tribute to the guerilla hero and demonstrating the affection of the Vietnamese to the Cuban revolutionary leader. Guevarra wholeheartedly supported Việt Nam in the fight for its national unification.

A collection of 30 pictures taken by Prensa Latina reporters kicked off yesterday at the headquarters of Vietnam News Agency. These pictures showcase Che Guevarra's activities between 1959 and 1965 as a socio-economic developer.

They show another image of Che Guevera, different from the popular icon as a courageous liberator and defender of freedom. Some exhibits depict Che's contributions to Vietnam's revolutionary efforts too. The exhibition will run till Oct 13th.
