Capital support for ethnic groups in Lai Chau

To help ethnic groups improve their lives, a credit policy that gives incentives on interest rates, loan conditions and procedures is being introduced. An effective savings loan model in Lai Chau province is helping many ethnic people escape poverty and improve their lives.

Currently, about 1.5 million ethnic households are receiving loans worth a total of $1.7 billion USD from the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies. This is an important way for ethnic groups to have access to preferential credit, thus promoting initiative and creativity to escape poverty sustainably
