The People's Committee said Sơn Đoòng Cave is at the core of Phong Nha Kẻ Bàng National Park, so any projects planned to be built here must consider the impact on the surroundings, and obey the rule that says "no constructions are permitted in the core of national parks".
The proposal to build the cable car was made by some enterprises, and was not accepted by any authorities.
