CAAV to make decision on flight frequency during Tet

The Ministry of Transport has just assigned the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam CAAV to closely monitor the operation of domestic air transport and proactively make decisions on whether or not to increase the frequency of operations during the Lunar New Year.

To increase the frequency, the CAAV must asses the actual travel needs of people as well as ensure the requirements for prevention and control of COVID-19.

The first half of this year is expected to witness a sharp increase in travel demand from HCMC to Central Highland provinces, the Central region, and the Northern region. So far, seat occupancy has reached over 70%, and airlines have also fully exploited the allotted flights.
