Buckwheat flower festival opens in Ha Giang province

With the theme, "A ballad from the rocks", Ha Giang promises a fun-filled buckwheat flower festival, with a number of interesting events such as paragliding over the buckwheat flower fields on December 2nd and 3rd and a concert at the foot of the Lung Cu flagpole tomorrow, November 25th.

Visitors can also participate in a fair at the Dong Van Karst Global Geopark over this coming weekend. The opening ceremony of the festival will take place tonight in the stadium of Dong Van town.

The festival was held for the first time in 2015 to honor the unique cultural values of Dong Van Karst Plateau, contribute to attracting visitors and developing the buckwheat flower into tourism brand of the karst plateau and also Ha Giang Province.
