Bottleneck in overtime working hours limit
VTV.vn - Increasing the maximum overtime work from 200 hours to 400 hours per year is one of the opinions receiving the most attention as National Assembly deputies discuss the draft revised Labour Code this afternoon.

In textiles, footwear, and electronics where the change is proposed, each worker is now limited to no more than 4 hours per day, or 30 days per month of overtime work, therefore their income is not as much as they want to make.

According to a report of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, 80% of workers hope to work overtime to improve their lives. And enterprises find it hard to recruit more workers if they do not have specific details of permitted overtime working hours.
