Bomb explodes at Surabaya police HQ

The Islamic State group claimed responsibility for the church bombings in a statement. Indonesian police stated that up to and including Monday's attack on the police station, 13 people from three different families have been killed over the last few days in bomb explosions. The flurry of attacks have raised concerns that previously beaten down militant networks in Indonesia have been reinvigorated by the return of Indonesians who went to fight with the Islamic State group in Syria.
