The Government leader praised Binh Phuoc’s significant achievements, highlighting the province’s potential and its strategic position in connecting the Central Highlands and southern regions, as well as its advantages for agricultural development, especially in terms of industrial crops.
Binh Phuoc should further improve its business climate and pay due attention to infrastructural development, especially the 10 key projects mapped out in the resolutions of the Provincial Party Congress, in addition to properly dealing with social issues and preserving its cultural and revolutionary heritage, he said.
The PM urged Binh Phuoc to effectively implement the resolutions of the Party, National Assembly and Government with the spirit of mobilising and optimising resources to develop infrastructure, especially transport infrastructure.
He suggested the province boost institutional and administrative reforms with drastic measures to facilitate investment, production and business, while focusing on training high quality human resources, effectively containing the pandemic, and maintaining friendly relations with neighbouring countries.
At the working session, PM Phuc commented on a number of proposals and recommendations raised by the province.
According to a report by provincial leaders, Binh Phuoc attained many important results in socio-economic development last year, meeting and surpassing 21 out of 24 major socio-economic targets. Specifically, the province posted a high economic growth rate of 7.51%, while its export turnover increased by 7.33% compared to 2019. Local budget revenue reached VND11.608 trillion (US$503.2 million), exceeding the assigned target by 69%.
