The event was jointly hosted by the Kim Hoang Hiep Trading, Service and Environment Company, and the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
It aims to help raise the awareness of the importance of toilets in daily life, the environment, thus building civilised community and society.
The occasion is expected to help improve the quality of public toilets globally.
Le Van Hiep, head of the World Toilet in Vietnam, said of the World Toilet in Vietnam, who is also Director of the Company said, his company is Vietnam’s only official member of the World Toilet Organisation.
The annual Urgent Run was first organised in 2015. The initiative was introduced to 154 other members of the World Toilet Organisation, according to Hiep.
