Better damage control needed for natural disasters

Severe damage caused by the worst flood to hit Northern Vietnam in 10 years is considered by many experts proof of the impact that climate change has on the global community. A conference on natural disaster damage control and agricultural resilience against climate change took place in Hanoi today.  Deputy PM Trinh Dinh Dung chaired the conference, which attracted around 200 delegates from relevant government agencies and fields. At the conference, experts agreed on the unpredictability of climate change and proposed new ideas for more effective natural disaster control. The event also featured discussions on how to adapt these ideas to specific localities and their environments.
