Best selling album of the year: ‘25’ by Adele

According to latest statistics of Billboard, 25 was titled as the best selling album of 2015 with 3.48 million copies sold in the first week, breaking the record made by NSYNC. The album scored No.1 for 6 consecutive weeks on Billboard 200 Chart, which earned Adele a glorious year with 7.44 million copies purchased in total. 25 ended 2015 as the top selling album of the year, and became the biggest seller of any calendar year since 2004 (when Usher ’s Confessions sold 7.98 million).

Released in November, 25 achieved the record within 2 months. In 2014, 1989 by Taylor Swift dethroned Frozen to be the best selling album with 3.66 million copies sold.
