The cargo included food, warm clothes, blankets, tents, and power generators. The aid was sent as a form of relief to Vietnam after the country was hit by tropical typhoons, which caused severe damage in terms of human casualties and property.
The Central Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control, on behalf of the Vietnamese Government, received the aid and will transfer the goods to flood victims in Khanh Hoa, Phu Yen and Quang Nam Provinces. The aid is believed to help victims in the Central Region of Vietnam regain stability in their lives and allow them to welcome a warm traditional Tet holiday next month.
