After a long and demanding journey, the three outstanding teams have officially advanced to the final round. They come from Yersin University of Da Lat, the School of Business and Management at Vietnam National University in Hanoi, and the University of Economics and Finance in Ho Chi Minh City. To prepare for the decisive match, all teams have made meticulous preparations, including stage props, refined presentations, and in-depth consultations with lecturers.
The excitement surrounding this year’s final stems from the competition format's challenging new elements. Teams must overcome two demanding rounds: a final project report and a relay-style rebuttal session. Notably, the “hot seat” will feature founders of community projects. Their presence requires contestants to confront the weaknesses of their own projects and seek improvement paths, rather than merely highlighting strengths, as is often the case.
Commenting on the uniqueness of the new format, Ms. Quynh Trang, editor from VTV’s Culture and Entertainment Department, said: “The people in the hot seat all started with small ideals and personal passions, but they also gained real-life experience to achieve success. Having the opportunity to meet, share, and debate with such individuals helps students directly address the shortcomings in their projects”.
Prof. Dr. Tran Xuan Bach, a judge of New Generation Students 2025, expressed his enthusiasm for the new format: “I believe this is a very fundamental innovation in the evaluation process. Through such unexpected elements, we can truly see how students adapt and apply knowledge flexibly, demonstrating intelligence and creativity, opening up new possibilities for them”.

Beyond the tense intellectual battles and performances by the competing teams, the program also features appearances by Double 2T and Tan Binh Toan Nang, who will deliver a vibrant musical showcase expected to energize the atmosphere at New Generation Students 2025.
After the two competition rounds conclude, the team with the highest total score will be crowned Champion. The winning team will be one that fully embodies the spirit of the program, not only excelling in professional expertise, but also demonstrating sharp critical thinking and the ability to mobilize collective strength for social impact. In addition, the Most Favorite Team Award remains a much-anticipated mystery.
With his signature humor, Double 2T wishes the teams lightning-fast reflexes in their debates, “as fast as rapping”.
Stay tuned for the grand finale of New Generation Students 2025, airing at 8:00 PM on Sunday (January 11, 2026) on VTV3.
