The airline beat off competition from other candidates throughout the region, including Ana Wings of Japan’s All Nippon Airways, SilkAir of Singapore’s Singapore Airlines, Sriwijaya Air of Indonesia, and Vistara of India.
This marks the second consecutive year that Bamboo Airways has claimed the title in the category in the Asian region.
Since its launch in early 2019, Bamboo Airways has successfully transported over 5 million passengers on safe flights, with a high average on-time performance rate in comparison to the rest of the Vietnamese aviation industry.
The airline uses a fleet of modern aircraft, including the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, Airbus A321neo, A320neo, and Embrarer 195. It flies on routes all over the country, serving to connect Vietnamese tourist destinations while simultaneously promoting the local tourism industry to travelers worldwide.
The recognition given to Bamboo Airways comes following the WTA announcing Vietnam as the winner of Asia’s Leading Culinary Destination, Asia’s Leading Cultural Destination, and Asia’s Leading Heritage Destination for 2020.
