Both sides discussed relevant issues regarding the Bac Bo Gulf in a friendly, sincere and constructive atmosphere.
Both sides pledged to seriously follow common perceptions reached by the two countries' leaders, including the agreement on basic principles guiding the settlement of sea-related issues, while step by step promoting negotiations on demarcation and co-operation for mutual development in the area.
The two sides also frankly discussed properly controlling maritime disputes, exercising restraint, and taking no unilateral actions that could complicate the situation and expand the disputes. The two sides also agreed to soon host the ninth round of talks. At the end of the meeting, they signed the minutes of the negotiations.
