VTV.vn - Creating stability and trust is necessary to intensify bilateral trade between Vietnam and Australia, said the Australian Prime Minister during his meeting with 100 Vietnamese and foreign enterprises in Vietnam on Thursday night.

This meeting is part of the Australian Prime Minister's visit to Vietnam from August 22nd to 24th. At the meeting, the Australian guest said Vietnam and Australia are now important partners.

He said he was impressed with Vietnam's development and believed the country will achieve more successes in the future. According to PM Morrison, Vietnam and Australia both share commitments and benefits from the CPTPP so bilateral trade turnover may surpass last year's rate of 7.6 billion USD if the two sides intensify cooperation.

Australia is now Vietnam's 7th largest trade partner. On this occasion, the Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry proposed the establishment of an Australia - Vietnam Business Council.
