Australia supports ASEAN's efforts and viewpoints on East Sea issue

Prime Minister Phuc said that Vietnam hopes Australia continues to increase its cooperation with ASEAN in various fields including developing infrastructure and sustainably utilizing resources in the Mekong Delta region. The Prime Minister also expects Australia to continuously support ASEAN’s efforts and regulations and build trust for peace, security, and stability in the East Sea.

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison expressed his support for ASEAN’s viewpoints on ensuring peace, security, safety, and freedom of navigation in the East Sea on the basis of observing international law.
