Astrazeneca considers lowering their vaccine price for Vietnam

Meeting Nitin Kapoor - President for Asia Area Frontier Markets at AstraZeneca and Chairman and General Director of AstraZeneca Vietnam on Wednesday afternoon, Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính highly appreciated the role and support of the BioPharmaceutical Company AstraZeneca in the fight against Covid-19 in Vietnam and the world.

Thanks to this, Vietnam has effectively implemented its vaccination strategy and basically controlled the situation. For his part, Nitin Kapoor spoke highly of the country’s efforts to fight the pandemic.

Vietnam counts among the top 6 countries with the highest vaccination coverage in the world. The AstraZeneca Group is accelerating its manufacturing and processing brand-name drugs in Vietnam with an investment value of up to 88 million USD during the period 2022-2030.

Nitin Kapoor also said that the group is considering reducing the price of vaccines under the contract to supply 30 million doses of vaccine. This was signed between AstraZeneca and the Vietnamese Government.
