The rehabilitation area was established 3 years ago for locals affected by landslides in Phu Hoi Hamlet, An Ninh Dong Commune, Tuy An District. In Tuy An District alone, authorities gave over 15,000 US dollars to 18 households to assist in their evacuation, before the storms arrived. Locals do not have to switch to other livelihoods, but can still continue fishing at sea after they've moved.
