Three Vietnamese and two foreigners have been found to have been infected with the Zika virus in Vietnam. The Ministry of Health has confirmed that the Zika virus is of domestic origin. Vietnamese health care agencies have been implementing several measures to improve early detection and prevention, and are co-operating with other countries to control the infection. ASEAN health ministers at the meeting agreed to enhance the supervision of the infection and evaluation of the threat in the region with the support of international organisation and WHO.
