Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Quoc Dung led the Vietnamese delegation. Participants looked into the process to revise the ASEAN Charter, the bloc's external activities, including those pushing for the full implementation of the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the East Sea, and the progress of the formulation of a Code of Conduct in the East Sea.
Under the agenda for the 30th ASEAN Summit, leaders are to discuss progresses in the implementation of blueprints on building the ASEAN Community and sign the ASEAN Declaration on the Role of Civil Service as a Catalyst for Achieving the ASEAN Community Vision by 2025.
