The festival aims to improve people’s knowledge about the ASEAN Community and increase their awareness of developing the community.
The event, which will last until August 24, features nearly 300 artists from seven ASEAN member states: Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, the Philippines and Vietnam.
They will present nearly 80 performances highlighting each nation’s culture.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Vuong Duy Bien said the event helps tighten solidarity between nations in the ASEAN Community and promotes each nation’s culture.
Within the framework of the event, outstanding performances will be selected to entertain audience in Vinh Tuong district and Phuc Yen town.
Entrance to the festival is free.
