At the ASEAN-Japan Summit which took place yesterday (November 13th), Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc, ASEAN leaders and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe talked about how they consider the ASEAN-Japan cooperation mechanism as trustworthy and effective.
ASEAN leaders welcomed Japan's three new initiatives this year, which consist of the ASEAN-Japan Creative Network, the Asia Health Initiative, and the ASEAN-Japan Environment Cooperation. Also at the summit, Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc said both sides need to strengthen connectivity between ASEAN and Japanese enterprises, and that Vietnam will do its utmost to coordinate the ASEAN-Japan relationship from 2018 to 2021.
