VTV.vn - An art programme was held at Van Lang Park in Viet Tri City, Phu Tho Province, on April 9 as part of activities in commemoration of the death anniversary of the Hung Kings – the legendary founders of the nation.

The event gathered the participation of nearly 200 artists, who brought to the stage performances praising the merits of the Hung Kings, ancestors, and predecessors who fought against foreign invaders during the nation’s construction and defence.

There were also songs and dances on the daily life of Vietnamese people, traditional festivals as well as the land and people of Phu Tho Province.

In addition, the audiences were entertained with beautiful ancient Xoan (Spring) singing melodies – a folklore art form which has been recognised as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity by UNESCO.

Following the programme, a colourful high-range firework display was set off to give praise to the ancestral land of Vietnam.
