Art programme celebrates the Party’s 90th founding anniversary

VTV.vn - The Party Central Committee (PCC) Commission for Communication and Education organised an art programme in Hanoi on February 1 to celebrate the 90th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV).

The art programme, praising the homeland, the Party and Uncle Ho, was combined with the screening of precious documentary films.

On the occasion, the organising board reviewed the multiple-choice contest on the 90-year history of the CPV on the VCNET social network.

The event was attended by Politburo members: Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh, Secretary of Party Central Committee (PCC) and Head of the PCC’s Commission for Communication and Education Vo Van Thuong, Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee and Head of the CPV Central Committee’s Economic Commission Nguyen Van Binh; along with Secretaries of the CPV Central Committee: Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Internal Affairs Phan Dinh Trac, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council and Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics’ Director Nguyen Xuan Thang, and representatives of leaders of ministries, central branches, provinces, and the Hanoi municipal party committees.

As one of the various activities to celebrate the upcoming 90th anniversary of the CPV’s founding, the multiple-choice contest on the 90-year history of the CPV took place on the VCNET social network over 18 weeks, from August 26 to December 30, 2019.

The contest aimed to educate the public about the glorious history of the Party and push back ideological, political and moral deterioration.

The contest was held in a multiple-choice format and saw the participation of 3,2 million people from across all 63 provinces and centrally governed cities.

The organisers awarded 18 first prizes, 36 second prizes, 54 third prizes and 90 consolation prizes. Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper and 21 organisations were awarded certificates of merit by the PCC Commission for Communication and Education. The provinces and cities with the largest numbers of participants were Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Quang Ninh, Lam Dong, Vinh Phuc, Gia Lai and Quang Tri.
