VTV.vn - The Argentine website Resumen Latinoamericano has published an article highlighting Vietnam’s strong commitment to innovation as a focus of its national development strategy as the country aims to achieve a GDP growth of 8% or more in 2025 despite global uncertainties.

The article emphasised that 2025 is a pivotal year for the Southeast Asian nation as the Communist Party of Vietnam prepares for its 14th National Party Congress, set for early 2026. This congress marks a significant milestone, ushering the nation into a new era of development and prosperity.

Resumen Latinoamericano commended the strategic mindset and long-term development vision of Vietnam’s Party and State leadership, particularly Resolution No.52-NQ/TW issued in 2019, which outlines key policies for Vietnam’s proactive engagement in the Fourth Industrial Revolution. It is a crucial step toward a future filled with opportunities.

The article also highlighted Vietnam's progress in the 2024 Global Innovation Index (GII), ranking 44th out of 133 countries, climbing two spots from 2023. Innovation is viewed as a crucial driver in transforming Vietnam’s economy from a labour-intensive model to a knowledge-based, high-value one. This shift is expected to boost labour productivity, enhance product quality, strengthen Vietnam's position in global value chains, and attract high-quality investments.

In conclusion, the article affirmed that Vietnam is well-positioned to realise its aspiration of becoming a civilised and prosperous nation in the near future.
