APEC strengthens cooperation in anti-corruption

Within the framework of the Third APEC Senior Officials' Meeting 2017 and related meetings in Ho Chi Minh city on Tuesday morning, Deputy Inspector General of Government Inspectorate and APEC representatives participated in the Anti-Corruption and Transparency Working Group Meeting. At the event, Vietnam stressed the role of international cooperations in fighting corruption. Vietnamese Deputy Inspector General talked about the difficulties in this task and stressed the need for assistance in building the legal system and enhancing the capacity of state agencies. In the afternoon, Vietnam is scheduled to report the results of the 4th APEC dialogue on Strengthening the Fight against Illicit Trade and Corruption.
