APEC discusses prevention of tax-avoidance

The APEC Finance and Central Bank Deputies' Meeting put forth measures to prevent base erosion and profit shifting (BEPS) with attention paid to BEPS minimum standards, and the Multilateral Instrument for BEPS tax treaty measures.

Vietnam, among 76% of the APEC members, has joined the BEPS Implementation Forum of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development. This is a chance for Vietnam to receive support from other APEC members and international organisations in terms of managing multinational firms, and attracting foreign investment.
