ANZ: Vietnam’s economy continues positive trends

GDP growth forecast for this year is 6.8% and in 2019 is 7%. Long-term prospects for Vietnam are also positive thanks to favorable demographic factors, a qualified workforce, the ongoing economic reforms, and the benefits of free trade agreements.

However, the Vietnamese economy is facing challenges in the short run, including ensuring inflation at target levels, keeping credit growth low, and strengthening balance sheets for the financial sector.
