The opening weekly match saw the following contestants compete: Nguyen Quang Hung (Khuong Dinh High School - Hanoi), Nguyen Anh Tu (Bac Ninh High School), Hoang Duy Anh (Cam Pha High School - Quang Ninh), and Ngo Tien Viet (Quang Xuong 1 High School - Thanh Hoa). From the Warm-up round, all four contestants demonstrated confidence and determination. Quang Hung began with 20 points while Anh Tu and Duy Anh earned 30. Tien Viet temporarily led with 40 points after the first set of questions.
In the General Warm-up round, the score gap remained narrow. After five shared questions, Anh Tu moved into the lead with 45 points, followed by Quang Hung and Tien Viet with 40 points each and Duy Anh with 25.
The real drama unfolded in the Overcome Obstacle round. As soon as the first horizontal clue appeared, Anh Tu rang the bell and confidently answered: “Phu Dong Thien Vuong”. The correct response surprised the audience and put the contestant from Bac Ninh far ahead with 115 points, while Quang Hung and Tien Viet each had 50 points, and Duy Anh 35.
This season’s Speed-up round featured a new time format: 20 seconds for the first two questions and 30 seconds for the next two. With quick reflexes and solid knowledge, Anh Tu amazed everyone by answering all four correctly, earning the full 160 points. After three rounds, he led with 275 points, followed by Quang Hung with 130, Tien Viet with 120, and Duy Anh with 75.
The Finish round brought a breathtaking twist as the contestants stole opportunities from one another continuously. Anh Tu opted for the 20-20-30 set but missed all three questions, losing 20 points and dropping to 255. This opened the door to a comeback was now open for the remaining competitors. Quang Hung selected the 20-20-20 set and scored another 40, raising his total to 170. Tien Viet used the 20-30-30 set, activated the Star of Hope on his final question, and gained an additional 60 points, bringing his total to 205.
Just when it seemed that Tien Viet was in the lead, the tension increased once more. Duy Anh was the last contestant to step up. He did not answer correctly, but his round gave the others the chance to steal points. Tien Viet rang the bell twice in time and raised his score to 255. In the final question, Anh Tu claimed the bell and earned the decisive points, finishing with 285 and officially becoming the winner of the first weekly match of the 26th season of Road to Olympia Mount. The final results were as follows: Nguyen Anh Tu: 285 points, Ngo Tien Viet: 255 points, Nguyen Quang Hung: 155 points, and Hoang Duy Anh: 0 points.
