This was proposed by the People's Committee of Bac Giang province to support businesses in distributing lychee from Bac Giang to southern provinces.
Previously, Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh also asked provinces and cities to develop a plan to prioritize vehicles transporting lychee from Bac Giang to other localities so that lychees can be consumed on time.
Bac Giang's lychee sales surpass 100,000 tons
One week into the regular lychee season, lychee sales to the Chinese market have already increased 44% year on year. Bac Giang province alone has been selling an increasing amount of lychee, once even reaching 9,000 tons a day, a remarkable figure compared to the previous peaks of 6,000-7,000 tons. As such, efforts to boost lychee sales amid the fight against the pandemic have proven to be effective.
