The overall goal of the 2030 plan is to promote the growth of exports of agro-forestry-fishery products, participate comprehensively and sustainably in the global agro-forestry-fishery supply chain; improve the quality and value of Vietnam's agro-forestry-fishery exports products in order to meet the regulations of import markets; as well as continue to position and develop brands for Vietnam's agro-forestry-fishery exports products in the international market.
The project has set a target that by 2030, the export value of the agro-forestry-fishery exports products of Vietnam will have reached about US$60-62 billion; of which, main agricultural products will have reached US$25 billion, forestry products (US$16-17 billion), seafood (US$15 billion), livestock products (US$3-4 billion), and other agro-forestry-fishery exports products about (US$2 billion).
The growth rate of the export revenue of agro-forestry-fishery products is expected to reach about 6-8% per year; about 40% of Vietnam's agro-forestry-fishery products will be labelled with the national brand, 70% will betraceable; about 60% of the export value of agro-forestry-fishery products will be through processing and deep processing.
Accordingly, the general solution to accomplishing the above objectives is to review and perfect institutions and policies on agro-forestry-fishery exports. In particular, the project will review, amend and supplement preferential policies, promote and improve the quality and value of agricultural, forestry and fishery products; ensure food safety, develop supporting industries; and finalise policies to support enterprises through the establishment and protection of the intellectual property rights of enterprises in export markets.
In addition, the plan also supports businesses in buildingand implementing activities to develop product brands in both the domestic and international mass media.
