Activities aims to inform and send environmental protection messages in "hot" spots in Con Dao. Furthermore, the activities contribute to calling on everyone to take action to protect the environment, from practical things such as source separation andlimiting the use of plastic waste.
One of the highlights of activities was the photo exhibition named "Con Dao Blue Sea - Preserving for future generations". The exhibition introduced more than 150 images by many photographers with content praising the beauty of the sea of Con Dao along with images of campaigns, environmental protection activities, garbage collection activities carried out over the years,and efforts of the authorities and people to preserve the marine environment.
Through the photos displayed at the exhibition, the people of Con Dao, tourists and especially the young generation of Con Dao had the opportunity to learn more about the value and importance of the sea, as well as the preservation of the marine environment. Following the end of the exhibition, all photos from the exhibition will be donated to the representative of the People's Committee of Con Dao District.
At Cot Co (Flagpole) Square - Ton Duc Thang Park, the organising board built a recycling wall with models of sea fish swimming with large loads of plastic waste and sea turtles caught in fishing nets. All materials that make up these two models have been derived from waste, including discarded fishing nets, soft drinks bottles and used plastic bags.
As part of the series of activities, a programme titled "Green Living Day" was organised with many activities such as sending messages on environmental protection, combating plastic waste, art programme, contest on recycling ideas for students, students at all levels in the province.
