VTV.vn - Chairman of the Council of the Republic of Belarus' National Assembly Mikhail Myasnikovich is in Vietnam to attend the state funeral of President Tran Dai Quang.

He conveyed President Alexander Lukashenko and the Belarusian people's deepest condolences to the Vietnamese Party, State, and people, and the family of President Quang for the passing of the leader. He said that Belarus will continue to honor agreements made during President Quang's trip to the nation in June 2017.

Acting President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh thanked Belarus' government and people for offering their sympathy. The host also stressed that Vietnam wants to foster economic and trade ties with Belarus.
