The hospital began operation on June 26 with a scale of 4,500 beds located at the dormitory of the Centre for Defence and Security Education under Vietnam National University’s Ho Chi Minh City branch.
This hospital has provided treatment for more than 11,700 F0 patients.
*Meanwhile, the Ho Chi Minh City’s’ COVID-19 Resuscitation Hospital has admitted more than 1,030 severe COVID-19 patients, half of whom have beendischarged.
The hospital is currently providing treatment for more than 580 severe patients, including 129 on ventilators, 11 on continuous dialysis and four requiring ECMO.
The hospital is expected to be upgraded to 700 beds this week according to the direction from the Ministry of Health.
*The city received an additional 600,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine to speed up the vaccination progress,as allocated by the Health Ministry on August 9.
The city has so far administered more than 3.3 million doses of the AstraZeneca, Pfizer and Moderna vaccines.
With more than 600 injection points, the city’s injection capacity is about 200,000 – 250,000 doses per day.
