9 more COVID-19 patients confirmed, total reaches 85
VTV.vn - At midnight on March 19, the Ministry of Health confirmed a further nine cases of COVID-19 infection, raising the total number of patients positive for the novel coronavirus in Vietnam to 85.

The infected patients are as follows:

The 77th female patient, 25, lives in Nhan Chinh, Hanoi. She is a student in the UK who boarded flight QR976 and landed at Noi Bai International Airport on March 17.

The 78th 22- year- old male patient residing in Bac Tu Liem, Hanoi, is also a student in the UK. She arrived at Noi Bai International Airport on March 17 on flight EK394.

Both patients are being isolated at the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases No2 in Hanoi’s Dong Anh district and their health in stable condition.

The 79th female patient, 48, comes from the Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu.

The 80th male patient, 18, also comes from Bac Lieu and is the son of the 79th patient. Both have lived in the UK for nearly 2 years.

The two patients are being treated and kept in quarantine at Cu Chi field hospital after their samples tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus by the Pasteur Institute in Ho Chi Minh City.

The 81st male patient, 20, lives in Konplong, Kom Tum province in the Central Highlands, boarded Air France AF258 from Paris to Vietnam on March 15.

The 82nd female patient, 16, resides in District 5, Ho Chi Minh. On March 14, the patient and his mother jetted off from London to Dubai on Emirates airline flight EK30.

The 83rd case is a 50- year- old woman who is a US national, residing in Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh. The patient took a Turkish Airline flight No TK162 and arrived in Vietnam on March 15.

Sample tests of the three aforementioned patients in Kon Tum and HCM City were confirmed positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus by the Pasteur Institute in Ho Chi Minh City on March 19.

The 84th 21-year-old-male patient and the 85th male patient, 20, are both from Hanoi. They are students in the UK and touched down together at Noi Bai International Airport on March 18 on flight VN0054.

Currently, they are in good health and being placed into isolation at the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases No2 in Hanoi’s Dong Anh district.

It is worth noting that all the patients recorded on March 19, are returnees from abroad.
