The national-level celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital is intended to widely promote and educate Party members, officials, and the general public about the profound significance of this day. It aims to reaffirm the wise leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh, the spirit of great national unity, and the willpower and strength of the Vietnamese People’s Army as the decisive factors in every victory of the Vietnamese revolution. It also highlights the monumental achievements of the Vietnamese Party and nation in the struggle for national liberation, reunification, and the building and protection of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, especially during nearly 40 years of national renewal.
The event will be attended by leaders of the Party and State, representatives from central agencies, international delegates, and officials from Hanoi. An estimated 3,000 delegates are expected to attend.
With a program divided into two chapters, the 70th Anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital is also an opportunity to strengthen the promotion of the tradition of “gratitude previous generations”, honoring and expressing gratitude to those who contributed to the revolution. Additionally, it will strengthen efforts to showcase and promote the image of the Capital to local and international friends.
One of the highlights of the 70th Anniversary Celebration of the Liberation of the Capital is the sharing of stories by historical witnesses and representatives of the younger generation of Hanoi, aiming to foster and enhance awareness and pride in the glorious, heroic, peaceful, and friendly history of Thang Long – Hanoi.
The artistic program will feature performances by many renowned artists such as singers Trong Tan, My Linh, Khanh Linh, Dong Hung, Dinh Quang Dat, Duc Trung, and a choir.
The national-level celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital will be broadcast live at 9:00 AM on October 10 on VTV1!
