The heavy rain since August 24 made nearly ten points on the road leading to Ngai Thau village vulnerable to landslides. Although local authorities have banned traffic there, local residents still have to travel through because this is the only road to escape landslide areas.
The large volume of soil and rocks have made the recovery process very difficult. Authorities are working to help people travel safely and settle down soon.
